The Concours Général Agricole (PARIS Agricultural Competition) took place last weekend during the agricultural show. A nice double for our two wines : Tradition Rosé 2012 (Gold Medal) and Tradition Rouge 2011 (Silver Medal). Since we took over the running of the domain in 2000, our wines have received medals on 10 occasions in this annual competition (five Gold medals, four silver medals and one bronze medal).
A bit of Beauregard history : the very first gold medal won by the domain at the Paris Agricultural Show was awarded to my grandmother in 1973 (I wasn’t even one year old!).
Our talent continues to be recognized in this award for our Tradition Rosé which we have only just bottled (see article published on our Blog of 15/02/2013 by Nicolas, Bottling Day). This is the third accolade that our rosé has received in less than a year :
- The Guide Hachette recommended our Rosé and awarded it one star (see article published on our Blog of 22/09/2013 by Karine, 2013 Hachette wine guide).
- The magazine Terre de Vins recommended our Rosé and classed it amongst the top 20 rosés from the South of France with a note of 14.5/20 (see article on our Blog of 15/05/2012 by Nicolas, Château Beauregard Mirouze highly rated by Terre de Vins).
But best of all is to taste it with Karine (tasting note 18/02/2013, 3 days after bottling)
- Pale pink in colour.
- Intense aromas of white fleshed fruits and flowers with a touch of citrus on the nose. The palate is full, well-balanced, with good persistence, particularly for a rosé. Excellent with salmon and green lentils, or a lamb tajine with apricots or almonds.
- We think this is maybe one of our very best rosés !
